Day 146- The Bible Recap
Day 146 | Psalms 131, 138-139, 143-145
Today's reading is Psalm 131, 138-139 and 143-145. Here's what stood out to me:
David humbled himself and encouraged the Israelites to place their hope in the LORD.
Even though the LORD sits on high and we are lowly, He does not disregard us!
138:8 says the LORD will fulfill the purpose for our lives. There is nothing and no one to stop His plan.
Knowing that the LORD is all knowing should be encouraging to us. There is nothing above Him or beyond Him! He is ever present!
David described his state of sin as crushing, dark, making him feel faint. He thirsted for the LORD and asked for deliverance. He asked the LORD to teach him His will for his life. We don't automatically follow God's will. We need to submit to His teachings.
O Lord, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him?
Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable!
When we meditate on His works, we are encouraged by His goodness, righteousness, grace, and mercy!
He is near to us when we call.
