Reflect with us:

Today's reading is Psalm 111-118. Here's what stood out to me:

I love Psalm 111:2, "Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them." We are studying and delighting in His Works...how cool is that?!

111:7 says the works of His hands are faithful and just...and they can be trusted!

111:9 Holy and awesome is His name. His name alone has power!

The righteous delight in His commands and will not be moved.

When our hearts are firmly trusting in the LORD, we won't be moved by our trials or hard circumstances. Will they still be hard? Yes! Will they destroy us? No!

There is none like the LORD! It's easy sometimes to think our trial or conflict is too big for Him. But He created all and is in charge of all.

Psalm 114 reminds us that His creation bows down to Him. Just His presence alone "turns the rock into a pool of water." 114:8

Idols are made by human hands and can't speak, see, hear, smell, feel, or walk. Those who make and trust idols lack these same things.

The LORD is gracious to bring us low in order that we might be saved!

Give thanks to the LORD for His steadfast love of us.

It is always better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. Studying His Word allows us to see that firsthand!

Psalm 118 prophesied Jesus as the gate and the stone the builders rejected 118:22.

Praising the LORD will always redirect our hearts and thoughts towards Him!
