Reflect with us:

Today's reading is Psalm 119. Here's what stood out to me:

How do we walk blameless and keep His testimonies? We must be in His Word and seek Him with our whole hearts. When we do this we are blessed!

How do we keep from wandering from the LORD? Continue in His Word and store it in our hearts.

I love verse 18, and it's something I pray often before reading..."Open my eyes that I may behold wonderous things out of your law."

Verse 24 says His "testimonies are my delight, they are my counselors." We can look back and see the wonderful works the LORD has performed. This stirs encouragement in our souls and gives us the energy to push on.

We can ask the LORD for wisdom as we read. He longs to teach us.

We can find delight when we meditate on His Word. It brings us comfort.

Verse 50 says, "This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life." I love this reminder!

Verse 68 says, "You are good and do good; teach me Your statues."

In His Word we find hope! His Word is timeless. When we spend time in His Word, we will hate sin and want to be far from it.

God's Word teaches us righteousness, wisdom, and hope. It brings us comfort and delight. How significant is it that the longest chapter in the Bible speaks to the worth of being in God's Word! He desires we spend time in it!
