Day 151- The Bible Recap

Today's reading is 1 Kings 3-4. Here's what stood out to me:

Solomon chose to disobey the LORD and married an Egyptian, Pharoah's daughter. Later, we will see that this choice will lead him to worship other gods.

However, Solomon did love the LORD, and the LORD asked him for anything that he might want. He chose wisdom...he admitted and shared his feelings of inadequacy in leading Israel.

The LORD was pleased with Solomon's answer. He gave him wisdom, and then some...wealth and possessions.

The LORD was setting Solomon up to be in a position to fulfill His will in Israel.

Solomon settled a dispute between two mothers fighting over the same child. Using the wisdom the LORD granted him, he was able to decipher the true mother.

Solomon became the wisest man in the area. He had knowledge of trees, beasts, and other animals. People came from all over to hear the wisdom of Solomon.

What an amazing chance for testimony Solomon had! A huge platform to share about the true King!
