Today's reading is 2 Chronicles 1 and Psalm 72. Here's what stood out to me:
Solomon recognized the LORD showed his father David His steadfast love. Solomon knew leading the people was a huge task and saw wisdom as the biggest benefit to be granted.
True wisdom aligns everything with the will of God. And since the LORD was pleased with Solomon's heart, He blessed him with more.
We finished today with a prayer that the king would judge with righteousness. That he would protect the poor and needy. And that in his obedience to the LORD, the LORD in turn would bless the people.
