Reflect with us:

Today's reading is Proverbs 1-3. Here's what stood out to me:

Proverbs was written to describe wisdom and help God's people become wise.

Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. When we wholeheartedly submit to the LORD's authority, we find His Word is comforting, reassuring, and hopeful, not merely a condemning list of rules. The fool chooses not to believe and doesn't take instruction or see the wisdom in His Word.

A godly father or mother can offer wise words of experience and faith to warn their children about the enticement of sinful choices.

Wisdom is confident and calls out. It doesn't back down from a challenge.

Those who follow wisdom will have eternal security.

We must intentionally seek wisdom like a hidden treasure. It doesn't just magically find us.

Remember the LORD's steadfast love and faithfulness towards you...this is our fuel for everyday living.

We don't gain wisdom from our own understanding but instead by trusting in the LORD and stepping aside so that He may direct our paths.

When we give of what He's given to us, He will give us more to give.

Correction from the LORD is loving when we are His children.

Wisdom is greater than wealth or possession!
