Day 157- The Bible Recap

Today's reading is Proverbs 10-12. Here's what stood out to me:

Now that we've seen the benefits of seeking wisdom, chapters 10-29 of Proverbs contain wisdom for wise living. It's always important to remember that these are not promises to us. They give us godly wisdom, but they are not necessarily a guaranteed end result.

"Righteousness delivers from death." Right living on earth may not result in riches, happiness and no sorrow. But the reward is eternity with Jesus!

The hope of the righteous brings joy, but the expectation of the wicked will perish. Our hope in Christ brings us true joy. The wicked will one day lose everything.

A humble heart is wise.

When the wicked dies, his hope will perish...the righteous are delivered from trouble, and the wicked walks into it instead. The LORD has paid for our sins and delivered us, while the wicked will face punishment forever.

The root of the righteous will never be moved; the root of our faith is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus! He is our Rock!

The righteous seek knowledge and continue to pursue it. They don't run from instruction and wisdom but are drawn to them.
