Day 159- The Bible Recap
Day 159 | Proverbs 16-19
Today's reading is Proverbs 16-18. Here's what stood out to me:
We may have plans but ultimately it is the LORD who has the final say.
When we hold up the mirror of God's Word to our lives, we truly understand that we can't measure up to His standards therefore following Him only makes sense.
Because there are ways that seem right to us but end in death, it's even more important we lay our ways down against His Word to see if they align.
Reading the descriptions of the evil and wicked makes me want to run far from them. They are calculated and purposeful in their destructive ways.
A fool doesn't listen to instruction but merely wants to hear their own voice as they speak.
An intelligent heart seeks knowledge.
Jesus is the friend who sticks closer than a brother. And I am so very grateful I know Him!
