Day 010- The Bible Recap
Day 010 | Job 24-28
Today's reading is Job 24-28. Here's what stood out to me:
Job describes the power of God again and asks "who can understand?" 26:11-14
Job continues to maintain his innocence. 27:3-6
Job asks where is wisdom found? 28:12-28 As much as we can marvel at God's masterpieces in creation (I sure know I do) they do not have wisdom like their Creator! "Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding." 28:28
Sometimes it can be hard to understand fearing God as a good thing. I found this explanation on the Answers in Genesis website. "A godly fear of the Lord is not something scary or bad. Through Scripture we see those who are followers of God called "Those who fear the Lord." Psalm 22:23 And fear and service are not something dreary or worrisome, but rather something to rejoice about. Psalm 2:11 May God's people look forward to a time when we, who fear Him rightly, will come together to sing His praises. Rev 19:5-6".
A.W. Tozer puts it this way, "When men no longer fear God, they transgress his laws without hesitation."
Remember friends wisdom is found in His Word and we are seeking it out!
