Reflect with us:

Today's reading is Deuteronomy 14-16. Here's what stood out to me:

Moses reviewed what they could and couldn't eat. Again they were to be set apart..."For you are a people holy to the LORD your God." 14:21

There was the reminder to remember their tithe and also to provide for the Levites.

They were to be generous to each other and every seven years releases were granted for debts. They were to trust the LORD would provide for them so they could provide for others.

All firstborn males of their flocks were to be dedicated to the LORD.

Moses reviewed the Passover, Feast of Weeks, and Feasts of Booths with them.

They were to appoint judges that would rule with righteous judgement. They were to only follow justice so they didn't fall into taking bribes.
