Day 128- The Bible Recap
Day 128 | Psalms 25, 29, 33, 36, 39
Today's reading is Psalm 25, 29, 33, 36 and 39. Here's what stood out to me:
Those who wait on the LORD should not be put to shame. 25:3 In fact, one of my favorite verses in Isaiah 40:31 says, "but those who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
Humility and proper fear of the LORD leads to teachability and instruction from the LORD. It is good to ask for instruction from the LORD...ask him to teach us. Sometimes I think the busyness of the day wraps us up and causes us to forget to ask Him to instruct us.
Even the voice of the LORD is mighty. It can bring life and death. Let us remember to stand in awe of Him.
The LORD fashions our hearts. 33:15 He knows what's best for us! It is not through physical strength and skill that one is saved...but the steadfast love of the LORD who rescues!
The wicked don't fear God. They are proud that their sin has not been "found out".
But 36:9 says, "For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light do we see light." When our sins are brought into the light, that's where our freedom begins.
His steadfast love and righteousness keep the evildoers fallen and unstable to rise. 36:1
